Job Description

Reporting into the Head of Marketing & Revenue Growth, an exciting position has arisen for a Senior Revenue Analyst to join Merseyrail’s busy Marketing & Revenue team where they will be responsible for all aspects of revenue reporting, forecasting, modelling, for the benefit of revenue growth.

  • Lead the development of all forecasts, identifying risks, opportunities and trends that will affect revenue.
  • Carry out revenue modelling for any changes that may affect passenger revenue e.g planned disruption, new tickets and timetable changes.  
  • Work with the Marketing Manager and Digital Marketing Manager to share analysis, insights and recommendations that drive revenue growth.
  • Lead on passenger revenue reporting for the business.
  • Track all aspects of passenger revenue and ensure risks and opportunities are highlighted.

This role will provide a marketing support to other functions within Merseyrail, including revenue reporting and analysis for Stations, Operations and Revenue Protection teams.

The Senior Revenue Analyst will be responsible for the continuous measurement and evaluation of revenue-generating activity, ensuring that the budget is optimised and spend delivers return on investment.

The ideal candidate should have the following skills and experience

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification relevant to the role
  • Strong data and analytical skills and experience
  • The ability to work cross-functionally and influence other areas of the business, partners and stakeholders
  • Strategic and analytical skills to make informed decisions, evaluate performance and return on investment

Although your main location will be Rail House, Liverpool, there is also an element of homeworking and remote working.
