Job Description

Reporting into the Head of Marketing & Revenue Growth, an exciting position has arisen for a Digital Marketing Manager to join Merseyrail’s busy Marketing & Revenue team where they will be responsible for all aspects of the digital strategy including revenue generating digital activity, digital channels, engagement and development the new Merseyrail website.

  • Lead on all revenue-generating digital activity including planning and optimising online adverts and testing.
  • Lead on the development of the new Merseyrail website, due for launch in Spring 2023.
  • Take ownership of the maintenance, improvement and content of all digital channels including the website, app, emails and some aspects of social media.
  • Work collaboratively with the Marketing Manager and Revenue Growth Manager to drive revenue through Merseyrail’s channels.
  • Track all aspects of digital activity, sharing insights, recommendations and measurements with the team and wider business where relevant, ensuring any risks and opportunities are highlighted.

The Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for the continuous measurement and evaluation of revenue-generating activity, ensuring that the budget is optimised and spend delivers return on investment.

The ideal candidate should have the following skills and experience

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification relevant to the role
  • A strong background in digital marketing
  • The ability to work on multiple projects at once and the tenacity to drive cross-functional projects such as the website.
  • Strategic and analytical skills to make informed decisions, evaluate performance and return on investment

Although your main location will be Rail House, Liverpool, there is also an element of homeworking and remote working.
